Fast Downloader Privacy Policy
Developer: RB Apps ยท Effective 2 October 2026
Fast Downloader ("the app") is a download manager for Android. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: the developer does not collect, store on any server, or share any personal data. The app shows ads from Google AdMob, which processes some device data as described below.
Information the app handles
The links you add, the file names, and download progress are stored only on your device so downloads can be paused and resumed. Downloaded files are saved to your device's Download/FastDownloader folder. None of this is sent to the developer or to any third party.
Network connections
The app connects only to the web servers hosting the files you choose to download. Those servers see the request as a normal download (for example, your IP address and the requested file), as with any browser download, and their own privacy policies apply.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and shows ads (banners and occasional full-screen ads) served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process device information such as your advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device model and OS, and how you interact with ads. This data is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy; see also How Google uses information from apps that use its services. The developer does not receive any of this personal data.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time from the app's Ad privacy choices option. Anywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads (or Google > Ads).
In-app purchase
The optional "Remove ads" purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. The developer never receives your payment details; the app only asks Google Play whether this Google account owns the purchase.
Copied links
If "Detect copied links" is on, the app checks the clipboard when you open it, only to offer downloading a link you copied. The clipboard content stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. You can turn this off in Settings.
No accounts or analytics
The app has no sign-in and includes no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
Permissions
- Internet / network state: to download files and load ads.
- Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads.
- Notifications: to show download progress and completion.
- Foreground service, wake lock, Wi-Fi state: to keep a download you started running while the app is in the background or the screen is off.
- Storage (Android 10 and older only): to save files to the Download folder.
Deleting your data
You can remove downloads from the list or delete files inside the app at any time. Uninstalling the app deletes its download history. Files you downloaded remain in your Download folder until you delete them.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
