Privacy Policy for A&V Player

This Privacy Policy explains how A&V Player ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use the app. A&V Player is a local audio and video player developed by Arbee Labs. We built this app to play the media files already on your device — not to collect data about you.

1. Summary

A&V Player does not itself collect, sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone. All the media files you browse and play stay on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not run any analytics SDKs inside the app. The app does display ads via Google AdMob to keep it free; AdMob collects some device and advertising data as described in Section 4 below.

2. Information We Access

To provide its core function — finding and playing your media — the app requests the following device permissions:

All of this happens locally, on your device. Scanning your media library, reading file names, and reading file metadata (such as duration or file size) never leaves your phone or tablet. We do not have servers that receive your media files or a catalog of what's on your device.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The app saves a small amount of data locally, using your device's standard app storage, purely to improve your experience:

• Favorites — which items you've marked as favorite.
• Recently played — a short history of items you've opened, so you can pick up where you left off.
• App preferences — settings such as autoplay, shuffle, and repeat mode.

This information is stored only on your device and is removed automatically if you uninstall the app or clear its data. We do not have access to it, and it is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

4. Advertising

A&V Player uses Google AdMob to show ads that help keep the app free. AdMob is provided by Google and, like most ad networks, it collects certain information automatically in order to serve and measure ads. This collection is done by Google's AdMob SDK, not by Arbee Labs directly.

Information AdMob may collect and process includes:

• Advertising identifier (e.g. Android's Advertising ID) and other device identifiers.
• General device information (device model, operating system version, language, time zone).
• Approximate location derived from IP address (not precise GPS location).
• App interaction data such as ad impressions, clicks, and the app's usage of ad slots.

We do not receive or store this information ourselves — it is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and, for how Google uses data from apps that use its services, the Google Partner Policy.

Depending on your region (for example, the EEA, UK, or certain US states), the app may show a consent form — provided by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) — before ads are loaded, so you can choose whether to allow personalized advertising. You can change your ad personalization choices at any time from your device's Google Settings (Settings → Google → Ads) or, in the EEA/UK, by reopening the in-app consent form from the app's Settings screen.

5. Information We Do Not Collect Ourselves

• We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
• We do not track your precise location.
• We do not access your contacts, messages, or calendar.
• We do not use analytics tools that profile individual users.
• Beyond the advertising data described in Section 4 above (collected by Google AdMob, not by us), we do not otherwise collect or store data that identifies you.

6. Third-Party Services

The only third-party service currently integrated into A&V Player is Google AdMob, described in Section 4. If we add further third-party services in the future (for example, crash reporting to help us fix bugs), we will update this policy beforehand to describe what is collected and why.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your data. We do not share any information with third parties ourselves, because we do not collect data capable of identifying you in the first place. The only data shared with a third party is the advertising and device data described in Section 4, which is collected directly by Google's AdMob SDK running inside the app, not routed through us. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Arbee Labs, our users, or the public.

8. Children's Privacy

A&V Player is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. If ads are shown to a user we know to be a child, we configure Google AdMob to serve them under Google's child-directed treatment settings (which disable personalized ads and certain data collection), in line with COPPA and similar regulations.

9. Data Security

Because the media files you play and the preferences the app remembers are stored locally on your own device, their security depends on the security of your device (e.g. your device lock screen and OS updates). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date.

10. Your Choices

• You can revoke the app's media/storage permissions at any time from your device's Settings, which will simply prevent the app from browsing your local media library.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising at the device level via Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (path may vary by Android version), or, where a consent form is shown, by reopening it from the app's Settings screen and choosing non-personalized ads.
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored favorites, history, and preferences.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app's functionality — for example, if we add new ad formats or other third-party services. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
