Frequently asked questions

Is it free to use?

Yes. It is free, with no sign-up.

Are my files or text uploaded?

No. The AI models (about 29 MB for Everyday objects, about 100 MB for Describe it yourself) are served from arbeelabs.com, downloaded to your browser once, and your photo is processed on your device. Your photo is not uploaded.

What is the difference between the two modes?

Everyday objects picks from 1,000 fixed categories such as animals, foods and vehicles, and is fast. Describe it yourself compares the photo with any words you type, or a built-in list of common things, so it can also recognise people, selfies and screenshots.

What does the confidence score mean?

It shows how sure the model is. In Describe it yourself the scores add up to 100% across your labels, so if none of your words fit, the least bad one still wins. The tool says so when it is not sure.
