Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Islam100 is published by Arbee Labs (developer name on Google Play: RB Apps). Contact: support@arbeelabs.com.
2. Information that stays on your phone
- Your settings (translation, reciter, text size, Arabic script, and similar choices).
- Bookmarks, reading position, Hifz tracker progress, Prayer tracker ticks, Ramadan fasting ticks and Tasbih counts.
- Hadith books you downloaded (kept on the phone so they work offline).
This information is not sent to us. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app removes it.
3. Location and notifications
- Location (optional, permission asked first). Used to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction. These calculations happen on your phone and your position is not sent to us.
- Nearby Mosques. When you open this screen, your approximate coordinates are sent to Google Places (and, if that is unavailable, to OpenStreetMap Overpass servers) to look up mosques around you. We do not receive or store this, and the coordinates are handled by those services under their own privacy policies.
- Notifications (optional). If you turn on Adhan notifications, the app schedules reminders on your phone. Nothing is sent to a server for this.
You can refuse or withdraw the location and notification permissions at any time in your phone's settings; the rest of the app keeps working.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob. To choose and measure ads, AdMob may collect and use device and advertising identifiers (such as the Android advertising ID), your IP address, general device and app information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This data is controlled by Google, not by us. See Google's Privacy Policy and how AdMob uses data.
Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the app shows Google's consent form on first use and offers Ad privacy choices in Settings so you can change your answer later. You can also reset your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
5. Content the app loads from the internet
The Quran text with English and Urdu translation, the Namaz guide, Duas, the 99 Names, Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are inside the app. Some features load content when you use them:
| Feature | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Recitation audio, spoken translation, word highlighting | Our own servers at arbeelabs.com |
| Tafsir (commentary), extra and alternative translations | Our own servers at arbeelabs.com; if those are unreachable, the app may fetch the same text from quran.com or alquran.cloud |
| Other hadith books (Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i, Ibn Majah, Malik) | Downloaded once from arbeelabs.com and kept on your phone |
| Nearby Mosques | Google Places, or OpenStreetMap Overpass (see section 3) |
Like any website or service, these servers receive your IP address and the request itself (for example, which Surah's audio you asked for) when your phone connects. We use this only to deliver the content and keep the service running, and we do not link it to you or build a profile. The Namaz guide recitation uses the text-to-speech voices already installed on your phone.
6. Permissions the app asks for
- Internet: for the features in section 5 and for ads.
- Location (approximate and precise): prayer times, Qibla and Nearby Mosques (section 3).
- Notifications: Adhan reminders.
The app does not use your camera, microphone, contacts, photos or messages.
7. Children
Islam100 is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are served by Google AdMob under its policies.
8. Deleting your data
We do not hold an account or personal profile for you, so there is nothing for us to delete. To remove what the app stores on your phone, clear its storage in Android settings or uninstall it. To manage data held by Google for advertising, visit your Google account's data and privacy settings.
9. Security
Content is downloaded over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Because we do not collect personal information, there is no personal database for us to protect.
10. Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, we will update this page and the date at the top.
