Privacy Policy
This app was built on one rule: what you log about your pregnancy stays on your phone. There is no server, and no account beyond a quick local setup. The app shows ads to stay free, which means our advertising partner, Google AdMob, is the one exception to "nothing leaves your device". Here is exactly what that means in practice.
1. The short version
- Your pregnancy and health entries never leave your device.
- A quick local setup is required (name, age, due date). There is no server account, ever.
- Ads are shown through Google AdMob to keep the app free.
- No analytics or trackers beyond what AdMob needs to serve ads.
- We never sell your personal information.
- Delete an entry, or uninstall, and your entries are gone for good. See how to delete your data.
2. What the app stores
Everything below is entered by you, on your device, and saved only on your device, in the app's private local storage. None of it is transmitted anywhere, because the app has no server to send it to.
| Category | Examples | Where it is kept |
|---|---|---|
| Profile | Name, age, profile photo | Local device only |
| Pregnancy tracking | Due date, current week, progress | Local device only |
| Health logs | Weight, symptoms, kick counts, sleep, contraction timing, water, medication, diary entries, appointments, checklists and, after birth, feeding, diaper, sleep, pumping and growth records | Local device only |
| Preferences | Notification and reminder settings | Local device only |
3. What we never collect
- No usage analytics or crash reporting SDKs. Outside of what Google AdMob collects to serve ads (see below), we do not track how you use the app.
- No location, contacts, microphone, or camera access. The app never requests these permissions, not even for ads.
- No passwords or server-side account tied to your identity. The one-time local setup is stored only on your device. It is not a login, and nothing is authenticated against a server.
- Your health entries are never used for ad targeting. Weight, symptoms, kicks, sleep, contractions and diary entries stay in the app's private storage and are never passed to AdMob or any ad SDK.
4. Your photos
When you choose a profile picture, a bump photo or a baby milestone photo, the app opens your phone's photo picker. The app does not request broad access to your photo library. The image you pick is copied into the app's own private storage and shown only inside the app. It is never uploaded, backed up to a cloud service, or shown to anyone but you.
5. Sharing your progress and backups
The "Share Progress" screen lets you send a short summary of your week (for example "24 weeks pregnant, baby's about the size of a cantaloupe") to WhatsApp, Messages, Instagram, Facebook or Gmail, or copy it. This only happens when you tap a specific share button. The app hands the text to your phone's own share sheet or the app you chose, and nothing is sent automatically or in the background.
"Backup & Restore" lets you export your logs, checklists and settings to a file, and restore from that file later. The file goes nowhere unless you move it yourself. Photos are not included in the backup file.
6. Advertising
This app shows ads through Google AdMob so it can stay free. To deliver and measure those ads, AdMob collects information itself, separately from, and never combined with, the pregnancy and health entries you log in the app.
| What AdMob collects | Device and advertising identifiers, general device information, approximate location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data (for example views and clicks), governed by Google's Privacy Policy. |
| Why | To select and serve ads, measure ad performance, and guard against invalid activity. |
| Your choices | You can reset or limit your device's advertising identifier, and opt out of personalized ads, in your phone's system settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads). Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown Google's consent message before ads load, and can reopen their choices from the Profile screen. |
AdMob is the only third party this app shares any data with. It never receives your name, due date, or anything you have logged in a tracking tool.
7. Where your data lives
Everything you enter, including your profile, due date and every log, is saved in the app's private, sandboxed storage area on your device, the same protection every app on your phone relies on. This app also disables Android's automatic cloud backup for its data, so your entries are not swept into a device backup without your say. The only data that leaves your device is the advertising data described above, handled by Google AdMob.
Because there is no server for your health entries, there is no database of them anywhere to be breached, subpoenaed or sold if the app is ever discontinued. Your device's own security (passcode, biometric lock) is what protects that data, the same as it protects everything else on your phone.
8. Your control over it
- Edit or delete any single entry. Every log has its own edit and delete controls.
- Clear an entire tool's history at once. Each tracking tool has a "Clear All" option with a confirmation step.
- Start a new pregnancy. "End Pregnancy" in your Profile resets your due date and week progress.
- Turn off notifications. A single switch in the settings stops the app from creating any.
- Delete everything, permanently. Uninstalling the app removes its private storage, and every entry in it, from your device for good.
Step by step instructions are on the data deletion page.
9. Your rights under the GDPR and similar laws
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, data protection law gives you rights over your personal data. How they apply to this app:
- Your pregnancy and health entries. These are stored only on your device. We do not receive, hold or process them, so you already have full control: you can view, edit, export (Backup & Restore) and delete them in the app at any time, as described in section 8.
- Advertising data. Google AdMob handles the advertising data described in section 6. Google acts as the controller for that data. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time from the Profile screen ("Ad privacy choices", shown only in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), and you can reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone's system settings.
- Your rights. You may ask for access to, correction of, erasure of, restriction of, or a copy of your personal data, and you may object to its processing or withdraw consent at any time. For advertising data, you can use Google's own tools (for example My Ad Center) or contact Google through its Privacy Policy.
- Contacting us. If you write to support@arbeelabs.com about your data, we will reply within one month. Because we hold no account or identity data about you, we may not be able to link a request to you, and we will explain this if so.
- Legal basis. Advertising identifiers are processed only after you give consent through the consent message. Local features run entirely on your device under your control.
- Complaints. You have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. A list of EU authorities is available at edpb.europa.eu.
- Transfers outside the EEA. Data that leaves your device goes only to Google for advertising, under Google's own transfer safeguards.
10. Children's privacy
Pregnancy Tracker & Baby Guide is designed for expecting parents and is not directed at children. Ads served through it are not configured for child-directed treatment, and the app does not knowingly collect information, locally or via AdMob, from children.
11. Not medical advice
The app is for information and personal tracking. It does not replace advice from your doctor or midwife.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, for example if a future version of the app adds a feature that changes how data is handled, this page will be updated and the date above will change. Meaningful changes will also be noted in the app's update notes.
